Wrinkles and Preperation H Cream

Many years ago and then again throughout the years, I would often hear rumors that one could use Preperation H hemorrhoid cream as a home remedy wrinkle treatment to smooth out and reduce or remove wrinkles on the face.  We never really knew if people actually used it on their skin but we were young at the time and without facial wrinkles, so we just laughed at the rumors. Over the years I would continue to hear about it and actually bought a tube once to try but never could get up enough courage to put it on my face.

I forgot about it until recently when I learned that Preparation H cream contained shark liver oil and live yeast cell derivative (LYCD). It was the live yeast cell derivative that supposedly worked as a treatment for wrinkles on the faces of actors and other celebrities.

However, Preparation H cream has been reformulated and no longer contains the live yeast cell derivative.  As a result, any reports you hear about it being a good wrinkle cream to smooth out wrinkles are those old rumors floating around which may have been credible in the past. Too bad. It would have been a cheap cream solution for fine wrinkles maybe even deep wrinkles.

There are many wrinkle creams and lotions on the market. I love virgin coconut oil for keeping my skin moist and supple and free of dryness.  Many claim that various wrinkle creams work for them. I hope so since we can no longer count on Preparation H cream for wrinkle-free skin.
